The Influence of Ethanol on Learned and Reflexive Heart Rate Responses of Rats During Classical Aversive Conditioning

SUMMARY. An unconditioned response was produced in rats by electric shock and resulted in a biphasic deceleration-acceleration of heart rate after 2.4 g of ethanol per kg. A monophasic acceleration occurred with saline and 0.8 g of ethanol per kg.
