Styles of Drinking and Types of Drinkers

SUMMARY. From a survey of “normal” drinkers, four drinking styles and six types of drinkers were differentiated. In illustrating the multifaceted nature of drinking in U.S. society, the results were inconsistent with traditional assertions that each culture has one predominant drinking style.
