Similarities in the Self-Depictions of Men Alcoholics and Psychiatric Outpatients; an Examination of Eysenck’s Dimension of Emotionality

SUMMARY. Responses of alcoholics and of psychiatric outpatients to 24 items of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory were similar to each other but different from those of normal subjects. Analysis of the item intercorrelation matrix yielded 2 factors, Emotionality and Depression.
