Perceived Differences of Standards for Alcohol Use among American Youth

SUMMARY. Students perceive the greatest degree of similarity of standards for beer use with their close friends. An increase in liberality of personal standards and the perception of liberality as well as any dissimilarity of standards among close friends are associated with an increase in alcohol-related problems.
