Ethanol and Water Drinking by Rhesus Monkeys; Effects of Nutritive Preloading

SUMMARY. Ethanol-drinking rhesus monkeys increased their ethanol consumption when fed 15 min before rather than after daily drinking sessions. These results are not consistent with a caloric hypothesis of ethanol drinking.
