Effect of Length of Stay in Inpatient Alcoholism Treatment on Outcome

SUMMARY. Follow-up at 3 and 8 months after inpatient alcoholism treatment showed that patients who stayed in treatment longer were more likely to abstain or to drink less. Improvement was greater among patients of low social stability.
