Demographic Correlates of Admissions to an Alcoholism Screening Program

SUMMARY. There were positive correlations between admissions to an alcoholism screening program deriving its clientele from public inebriates and the following Census neighborhood characteristics: lower socioeconomic class, minority ethnicity, households with atypical families and a high female adolescent population.
