Cognitive Deficits in Women Alcoholics as a Function of Gynecological Status

SUMMARY. Compared with nonalcoholic controls, women alcoholics displayed cognitive deficits on verbal and nonverbal tasks. Although menstruating and nonmenstruating alcoholics performed similarly on verbal and nonverbal tasks, menstruating controls performed better than nonmenstruating controls on both tasks.
