Changing the Federal Regulations on Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patient Records: Views of Clinical Staff

SUMMARY. A survey of opinion on proposed changes in the present federal regulations on confidentiality of patient records, conducted among the directors and clinical staff of state-operated alcoholism treatment centers in New York, revealed a generally positive assessment of the effect of the regulations on treatment.
