Alcohol and Victim Compensation as Determinants of Responsibility Attribution in Traffic Accidents

SUMMARY. Attributions of responsibility and assignment of penalties for fictional traffic accidents were determined mostly by the driver’s level of intoxication. Other situational factors and respondent characteristics had little effect.
