Alcohol Use and the Flushing Response in Different Racial—Ethnic Groups

SUMMARY. Among Japanese subjects, flushers drank less than nonflushers, but no association between alcohol consumption and flushing was found among persons of Caucasian, Chinese, Filipino, Hapa-Haole (half Oriental, half Caucasian) and Hawaiian or part-Hawaiian ancestries.
