Alcohol Consumption and Response in Men Social Drinkers; the Effects of Causal Attributions Concerning Relative Response Control

SUMMARY. Subjects who were led to attribute responsibility for level of intoxication to themselves rather than to amount of alcohol consumption experienced a greater level of sobriety. Decisions on future alcohol-related behavior were also influenced by these factors and not simply by actual blood alcohol concentration.
