A Relative Change Index in Evaluating Alcoholism Treatment Outcome

SUMMARY. A technique for computing a relative change index for evaluating an alcoholic’s progress is presented and contrasted with less satisfactory methods of comparing data from patient intake and follow-up interviews. Applicability of the index to other treatment groups is discussed.
